About Me
Who I Am
My journey started shortly after my first baby was born. I was a young teen, with no birth plan or expectations of how I wanted my baby to come into this world. I had no real support, and no one advocating for me or helping me understand what was about to happen. Due to my lack of knowledge, and resources to recieve proper information, I went through many unecassary and difficult interveventions and trauma where my choices were taken away and I was stripped of my "voice" to advocate for myself the best I knew how. My OB at the time, made me feel like a failure and unknowingly instilled this fear into my mind and made me never want to have another child. This experience lead me down a path seeking knowledge and understanding. I had hoped I could find answers and closure to my past and make sure it would NEVER happen to me again. In my searches I came across hundreds (if not thousands) of mothers that had gone through similar experiences and traumas, whom were now advocating for safer emotional, and physical births, labeling themselves as doulas/birthkeepers. This is where my passion to empower, advocate, and support began. I spent the next four years studying, researching, and interviewing women. I helped broken mothers rebuild their confidence through support and education. I felt such compassion for those that were wronged during such a vulnerable and intimate time in their life. One should never have to look back at their birth with regret and fear. Throughout this journey of healing myself, I became a devoted Pregnancy/Birth/Breastfeeding/ activist striving to share knowledge and support to those who needed it. I have since become a Certified Doula/Lactation Counselor, and Placenta Specialist in my home town of La Crete Alberta Canada where few to no educative childbirth/breastfeeding/placenta benefit resources are available (aside from online research). My services offer personalized prenatal, birthing, and postnatal/lactation support packages where my number one goal is to give you and your family the attention, knowledge, and support you deserve to make informed decisions about your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey. How I Assist
As a respected Doula, I pride myself in providing you and your partner with care, understanding, information and support throughout, during, and after the birthing process. Our initial meeting will help me tailor my packages to fit your needs, as every pregnancy is different. To schedule an initial consultation, or to learn more about my practice, please contact me.
Prenatal Visits
Informative and Compassionate
After beginning our relationship with a meet and greet, I am committed to your health and the wellbeing of your growing family, available whenever needed throughout your entire pregnancy as well as after giving birth. I will be there to provide you with continuous emotional and physical support, and will answer any and all questions you may have.
Birthing Guidance
Here for You
Get extra personal support throughout the entirety of your birthing journey. As a Doula, I promise to offer unwavering support to you and your family before, during, and after birth. I will stay in close contact in order to routinely check how you’re doing and offer my assistance for anything needed.
Postpartum Support
Offering Support
From our initial meeting all the way through your pregnancy and delivery, I take the time to get to know you, your concerns and your needs. I’m always available to contact by phone/email throughout and will provide everything you require to make sure your experience is as calm and positive as possible.
